Spring 2009 and sketch featured on Core77!!

This sketch was recently featured in the Member's Gallery on the online Industrial Design Magazine "Core77".  This originally started out as a doodle in my Human Factors class and then ended up getting carried away.  Most of the car sketches featured here were done using an easy method for sketching thumbnails of cars.  I uploaded a video of how I sketch my cars which can be found in the tutorial section of this website.  (or go straight to it here)  Don't forget to check out my blog too for more up-to-date sketches.  Also, my "Tea Kettle" and "Medical Dispenser" books are now up on my Coroflot portfolio.

Winter 2008-2009

It's been a great semester.  After working on two major projects, the medical dispenser and tea kettle, the year is winding down and our class is putting together books of the projects we did.  It's been a great experience overall.  I have gotten very familiar with Indesign, SolidWorks, and Illustrator.  I hope to have some images of those projects up in the gallery soon.  In the meantime, you can see the concept sketches and solidworks renders on Coroflot.  When I finish the books I will post those up as well.

Featured Work: Summer 08'

I picked up a copy of "Mechanika" by Doug Chiang the other day at Borders and it inspired me to draw this.

I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in concept art and design.  Click on the image above to view the render, or click on "Featured Work: Summer 08'" to view more of my recently inspired concept art/designs.

Current Projects:

What have I been up to recently?  Illustrating! I have been producing some concept art and illustrations for Emma Larkins, author of the upcoming books "The Hidden Land of Gre" and "Lueil's Lyre".  Check it out here.

Naef Toy Competition 2008

I entered this block toy design into the 2008 Naef Toy Competition.  The toy is called "Doppelter Zahn" which translated from German means "Double Tooth"-- see if you can spot how it got it's name.  You can view more pictures of this toy in My Coroflot Portfolio.
