Locus Technology Inc.

Locus Laptop Caddy: Laboratory Research Companion

My first project for Locus Technology was to visualize a concept that Locus Technology Inc. had for a laptop caddy that would be used in medical research facilities.  The idea behind this was to make it easier for scientists to go through their facilities and record all of their observations in an easy, less tedious manner.  With this caddy, the scientist would be able to scan the barcode of the subject, input the data directly into their network via the laptop (which would be powered by a rechargable UPS located at the base of the caddy), print off new labels with the onboard label printer, and repeat this for every subject.  In most cases, this task takes too long because the scientist has to go back and forth throughout the facility trying to input data manually into the laptop and print labels in separate locations.  For more information on Locus Technology you can visit their website here.

Locus Software Icons

My second project for Locus Technology Inc. was to design a set of icons that would be integrated into their software.  I designed 2 sets of icons: One set of 48x48 pixel icons, and one set of 16x16 pixel icons.
